We’re entering a new era of real-world palladium applications
The Palladium Global Science Award is an annual international science competition celebrating cutting-edge research across the theoretical, prototype and development stages that expands prospects for growth in palladium applications. The award highlights new and innovative uses for the metal in order to supercharge palladium’s technological and economic benefits to industry.
The competition includes three nominations, five winners and a total prize fund of $350,000. Applications are open from 6 March to 31 July 2025.

The Palladium Global Science Award has appointed Professor Francis Verpoort as the Chair of its International Expert Council. Professor Verpoort, a global expert in organometallic chemistry, currently serves as Chair Professor at the State Key Laboratory of Advanced Technology for Material Synthesis and Processing, Wuhan University of Technology.
The China Precious Metals Industry Committee (CPMIC) is a subdivision of the China National Resources Recycling Association (CRRA), approved by the Ministry of Civil Affairs of the People’s Republic of China. As the representative of one of the industry’s key centres, the CPMIC actively supports the development of new technologies and international cooperation in the precious metals industry. The leading industry body played an important role in setting up and supporting the competition, and continues to promote its growth, expanding international participation and bringing new experts on board.
